    We had a monthly film show at the YWCA youth club , some guy would come in with a 16mm projector set up .
    I was about 14 and saw;
    “Freebie and the Bean” cert X.
    and when they had “Blazing Saddles” cert AA, we all wanted it on again next month

    In the mid 70s my uncle use to take me to see James Bond films at the cinema. The ratings were AA. I was about 11 years, so somehow he got me in.

    Apparently 'Monty Python & the Holy Grail' was originally going to be X rated before certain changes were made to the script.

    Let's just say it's best to keep our posts on the topic of the thread rather than straying onto other matters. We are talking about movies here.
