Help remembering the name of a movie.

I remember this film from when i was little but it was probs made in the 80's.
It was on tv and we taped it (Lost the tape now as it was a long time ago)
I was convinced it was called 'Hugalong' but there is nothing on the internet about it so it wont be.
It was about a girl and little monster like creatures lived in her wardrobe. A wicked woman kidnapped her and her brother and thats all i remember lol

Any ideas at all ?
