When was Dressed To Kill made?

Often when I start watching a film, I try to guess when the film was made. Whether it be by the appearance of the actors or the 'feel' of the movie.
A few days ago I was watching the film Dressed To Kill starring Michael Caine and Angie Dickinson. I first watched the film in the early 90s.
I guessed it was created around 1976. My guess was wrong.

No. It was based in New York.
There is not much scenery. But, it is written very well and has a feel of a Hitchcock film.

At the beginning Angie Dickinson is showering. The nude scenes were performed by a model.
