Looking for a 80s movie

I haven't watched it or remember the name, I was going to watch it and only saw a trailer on YouTube, there was a scene of a drug smuggler who was using a small white plane and was taking off on the runway, I think it was set in columbia maybe. It wasn't a film I've ever heard of and the quality of the scene didn't look that good.

Well I would tell who the actors are if I knew em and exactly what year, I know he was working as a drug courier for a cartel and used a plane to do it

There's one I just found called Cartel made in 1990 with Miles Okeefe in it, not sure if its it but it shows a plane coming to land on a airfield but I'm sure a scene I saw was a plane taking off from a airfield, but might have remembered it wrong

Tom Cruise played him in American Made,
Dennis Hopper played him in The Infiltrator
