Re: What movie's from the 70's or 80's made you cry?
the ONE film that makes me blub (& I'm a big hard g*t ) is....
The Elephant Man...specifically the ending, when John looks at the little picture on his wall; the one of the small boy asleep in bed.
Something John has never been able to do..lie with his head flat.
So, for once he decides to be 'normal'.....
It's getting to me now as I write .....:cry:
ps if you've never seen it, do...its a superb film..the bit where they rescue John from the circus freak show is one of the most visually surreal images I've ever seen
Re: What movie's from the 70's or 80's made you cry?
I bawled my eyes out at 'Jesus of Nazareth'...It's more a mini series than a film though. Great performance by Robert Powell. Seems he was an awful giggler, during filming
'Go Towards the Light','Who Will Love my Children?', 'ET'.
Op, 'The Last Snows of Spring' was the first film that came to mind. I can't even remember what it was about though. 'Love Story' was sad, not sure if I cried or not.
