Loads of great films listed there, but some notable omissions:
Fatal Attraction
Betty Blue
Local Hero
Risky Business
The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover
Eraserhead
Sex Lies and Videotape
The World According To Garp
Loving the Brat Pack films already listed, also Bladerunner and Empire Strikes Back and Gregory's Girl
This is really difficult as the 80's was a golden age for films and I dont think we realised how spoilt for choice we were. I have seen just about every film that has been mentioned but if I had to pick one it will be the Goonies. Still watch it now and have the uncut version on DVD that includes the octopus scene that was cut but still gets mentioned
just a note ..... I would have put Star Wars (episode IV) but technically its a 70's film
Age is just a number - If yours bothers you stop counting

90% of the 80s films was great i think but theres so many
love films can sit and watch a selection from when get up till when go bed if i could that is
prob start off with back to the future
BBC 2 "screen 2" series of films were good, Space station Milyon keynes is a one that I saw once, maybe twice and though I have hardly any recollection of it now, just the name sets me back. I'd love to see some of those British 80's films and dramas again to see how they;ve aged and what reaction they'd get from a younder audience. One summer (entire thing now on youtube), Jonny Jarvis etc
