Sorry but this might not even have been a film - just got faint memories of it and I was most likely full of alcohol at the time ( thats when I mainly watch telly) so could be a play for today.
This officer in the trenches in France in world war one somehow gets the ability at certain times to see into the future, however he can only see about sixty years ahead and just to the one place ( think he was maybe viewing his grandson or great etc )
Anyway, all this guy ever sees is a load of punk rockers with full rainbow Mohicans and all the safety pins & such pogo-ing it big style in a grotty litttle club.
He gets really dis-illusioned with knowing the world is going to be "over-run with barbarians" and leads his poor squad into a suicide charge against Hun machine gun posts
Anyone any idea what it was I remember ?
