John Cleese really annoyed me in that film.

I've changed my mind about my eighties selection so instead of The shinning it's got to be The Empire strikes back

I liked Clockwise, I think I have it somewhere on DVD given away in the Daily Mail or some other paper.

No, I didn't particularly like the film as a whole. He annoyed me in the same way that Rowan Atkinson annoys me as Mr Bean, in a kind of this is so predictable/embarassing/cringe invoking way.

I loved the Monty Python films and Fawlty Towers. I don't think it matters if we don't all like the same things.

                        very true J.
we all have our own tastes in things.
be boring if everyone liked all the same things.

                        for you jacqueline.

Here's a confession - I've never really seen 'A Fish Called Wanda'. I've seen clips from it, but never got around to watching the whole movie. I have a tendancy to do this. Although I don't own AFCW on DVD, I do have several films on DVD I've never had time to watch, including 'Withnail And I' and 'Starter For 10' (I know that's more recent, but it was set in the '80s).

My favorite movie is definitely Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure! I love the jokes ,although the film is quite new - "1989" only 21 Years old

I must admit I love 9to5! The cast are great and it's not dated IMO. Grease is another one of my guilty 70's pleasures! I remember being taken to see this at the pictures in Durham when it was released. I was only about 6 years old but I remember the event clearly! I got the soundtrack for christmas the same year.
As for the 80's I really love the 'brat pack' films. Ferris Beullers Day Off is a modern classic.
                              Heaven knows I'm miserable now.

Tough choices indeed - so many outstanding films!
