Looking for a film

Im sure it was called The Rock. Cant remember when it came out but im sure it was 80's or 90s.

What i remember is this group of guys were sent to this, i think giant asteroid to mine it or something and they disturb some kind of alien or monster.

Anyone know what im going on about? Cause id like to find it. Thanks!

Your summary makes me think of a film I saw once called Star Crystal (didn't watch it right to the end ) . Maybe that one?
