Need help with this Murder case movie

Can anyone remember a movie based around a court case, a murder of two parents by their kids. I think it may have the word like "Menendez" somewhere in the title. It was made int he 80's or maybe even earlier. Would like help remembering it please.

Would not be 80's as the Menendez Brothers did not kill until 1989.
