Ok long shot as my memory is very vauge. I saw this at a Saturday morning cinema show, remember those? in about 70 or 71. It was about an alien from Saturn or Jupiter coming to earth. He was shapped a bit like a frisbee with a lump in the middle with cartoony eyes. I think it was helped by some children to get home again?? I remember several shots of the alien in an alien landscape with lots of smoking rocks. I think it was in black and white, so it could have been an older film.
