  • Labryinth

    Hello all!

Now I wasn't sure whether to post this in the movie section or the book section, so I'm sorry If I got it wrong! lol

I LOVE the Labryinth movie, I've watched it alot, when I was a kid and recently lol
but I was wondering if the movie was actually taken from a book?? The character Sarah is reading a book called Labryinth, about the Goblin King etc so I was wondering if the book was real??? or whether they just added that in for the movie?? Even though the movie is awesome! and can't get any better, I always find the books have alot more to it and would love to read it but I have no clue of it's real lol

Great film. I had a crush on Jennifer C when I saw it. I remember she, Ludo and I think the small troll man came on Going Live in character to promote the film. My favourite song is the one where she's at the masked ball with Jareth. As a child I really wanted to go on an adventure like that.

jennifer was born december 12th 1970.
Jen was 16 when she appeared in the labryinth.

to be honest she looks younger.

                    Re: Labryinth

Depending on how old you are when you watch this its either a purely exciting adventure for children, with puppet characters you'll keep with you for ever or its a very intense love story with some deep tones running through it. I've loved it since my brother vhs'd it for me at uni and David Bowie with his floppy hair and leather suit on the stairs at the end scenes?.....Oh come on! I'd be pretty tempted to leave Toby behind for the goblin prince.
                    Cracking graphic novel too.

I loved this film. Was a part of my childhood. As you will already know it was scripted by Monty Python's Terry Jones, so not adapted from a book. I didn't know there was a graphic novel though Littlelen

Nice theme song, not bad for 80s Bowie!

I kinda see it as both tbh.

                          Absolute genius work using puppets.

One of only a few films david did.

Yes following davids passing a reboot is to be made.
Unlikely to be as good as the original but we will see.
