On Channel 4 in around the early-to-mid-90s, there was a documentary series where two British people - a black man and a white woman - would travel to a different city each episode, find out about the culture etc. and watch their American football team in action - one episode I remember featured the Green Bay Packers. Doeas anyone remember it?
