oh darren! Startest was a big fave of mine! It was such a great format - that the person had to answer the question and couldn't ask for clarifiction etc. Stephen Fry's was amazing. Definitley something that needs to be brought back.

Thanks darren. I have that episode on video, but like most people these days, my videos sit on a shelf unwatched. Great to see it again

Another good blast from the past Darren. I had totally forgotten about this programme and I don't think I ever knew that it was called startest. I saw it occasionally and remember the black and white checked floor. Stephen Fry looks really young on the clip. He's the sort of person who you think has looked the way he does now forever!

That's so true! I'm always surprised when I see old clips of Stephen.

That Startest edition is wonderful. I'm a huge fan of Stephen and find myself agreeing with so much of what he says. But the fact that he thinks astrology is based on the law of paralax (sp?)..........Well, this is actually not true. I was a bit surprised when he said it.

Anyhow, the format of Startest is excellent. A question that can not be rephrased and must be answered. Yes!

glad i could remind you tricky.

looks as if he was only in his late twenties or early thirties in that clip.
is sad that there where only 44 episodes in total.

hard to believe that is stephen fry 20 yrs ago.
