Best cartoon ever. They will never make a cartoon of this magnitude again for the money that this cost at the time.

I think that's what he meant Darren, cartoons probably cost a lot more to make these days.

they probably do cost a lot more to make nowadays, and a lot of them are not as good as dangermouse was.

That's a pet hate of mine - the quality of some of the current batch of children's cartoons on tv. I agree they were far better in our day Darren.

                      Re: Danger Mouse.

Cost a pittance to make apparently, even at the time it was well under the going rate of what it cost to produce a cartoon. Stuff like animating DM and Penfold in the dark just as eyes bobbing about was a cost/time saver, as were bits showing DM flying out in his car, along with some of the Colonel K stuff. All shared assets that were used in each cut.

It's a common practice really, Disney have been doing since year dot. Click here to see what I mean.

                            Re: Danger Mouse.

I was a big fan of Dangermouse. I remember getting a Dangermouse book one Christmas and I must have been a member of a club at some point as I also had, amongst other things, a DM mask (only one eye hole!) and a desk card with Colonel K written on it, unless these came with the book.

Ofcourse back then the subtle humour and style that appeals to adults was lost on me. I'd love to see some episodes again to enjoy them as an adult!
