Funny thing about this was that everyone thought that it was a genuine wartime song from the 40's. In reality it was specially written for the show and sung by Bud Flanagan in 1968 when Dad's Army started. It just sounds so authentic.

Ewoks cartoon theme question

This seems to be as good a place as any to post this.

I was not a fan of the Ewoks or indeed this cartoon but at one point it was shown a lot at tea time in the 90's and I always seemed to catch the start. For reasons unknown I was always perplexed as to what the weird moving purple things are at 0.48 on the clip. Are they some sort of insect legs?...but they seem to be attached to the trees and separate from the blue monster things above them.

Random I know but this bothered me for weeks. Perhaps there are some Ewoks fans that could enlighten me and end 20 years of torment!
