christmas tv for kids

I have been trying to remember more about a childrens animation made for tv from the early 80's i think, about a little girl who can't find the star for the top of the christmas tree and the ghost of her gran/ grandad (unsure),who comes back to helps her find it. Have been rattling my brain to think of more detail but it eludes me. Can any one else remember it? i would love to know what it was called.
