  • Kids time travel/ghost tv series '70s/'80s

I hope someone can recognise this tv show (although it could've been a film, sorry) from this vague description...

I think it was on in the late '70s/early '80s and all I can remember is two children (possibly brother and sister) from the present day, stood on a Victorian street, a kind-looking old gentleman (possibly wearing top hat and tails) was getting out of (or stood by) a black horse drawn carriage. I don't know whether the children were seeing a ghost scene or had traveled back in time but I'm sure there was some interaction with the old man and I seem to remember something about a coin or coins, in someones hand.

Apologies for the lack of info but that's all that my grey matter is letting me recall

It could possibly be that! When I read the plot description on Wikipedia I didn't get the full slam of realization I was hoping for but a few more images seemed to click into place. I'll try to find some clips today and I'll report back later
