BBC drama circa 1990

Hello all! I wonder if anybody out there can remember a play broadcast by the BBC either around 1989 or 1990. I think it was called "Shorelands". It was a two part play about a hammer wielding psychopath who murdered a family. The performances in it, especially from said psychopath, were extremely powerful. I don't think it has ever been repeated and I can find nothing about it on the internet. Please help!
