Does anyone remember a UK kids tv show in the 80's with a ghost that appears in a bed

I think the ghost would appear when the main character visited the room and he would offer them some advice then disappear. If i remember rightly the ghost wore victorian style bed clothes and he would appear on a four poster bed. The room was within a castle or a grand house of some sort. I also believe that this programme may have be a children educational programme but not 100% sure.

Any help would be apprecaited!
