seemingly mega obscure '80s US sci fi show...

I saw ONE episode of this in the '80s - have no idea what it was, but it was a sci fi adventure series, I am assuming American...

Two kids/teens, one brother and sister, go swimming on a holiday beach, and for some reason when they re-emerge from the water they are in some kind of alternate universe where there is a battle raging between the oppressed rebels who live simple rutsic lives and the evil rulers, who are dressed in black.

I really only have the one image of the kids swimming - and of the bad guys in black robes.

Does ANYBODY have ANY idea what on earth this show was, or did I just imagine it...

for a brief second I too thought that - but, alas, it's not, as the one i'm thinking of was amercian/canadian.

bit of pointless trivia though - the actor in Knights of God, John Woodvine, lives near me - I see him now and then in Banbury!

Hes a good actor, well he was when he was younger. Is he a nice bloke? You should ask him WHY he did Corrie....terrible storyline that John Stape...

I've never met him - I have just seen him several times in the past about town. Once saw him leaving the local cash converters (??!!??), at the local tesco, ect. And a mate of mine once sold him a polo shirt at Debenhams!

Would love to get a chance to chat to him though, if only to tell him he was excellent in 'An American Werewolf In London'

Regarding my original query on this obscure tv show - Knights of god was brittish, and gritty/serious, and the one I remember was either US or Canadian, and was more fantasy soap opera gloss, kind of like how the '80s 'V' was...

It's a very short lived - only 8 episodes - US TV sci-fi drama called 'Otherworld'
