Re: Ghost In The Water (1982)

I went to the school that they filmed at, but not at the time it was filmed and I remember watching this at school in the 90s. I’ve been hopingthat this might get a release some day.

If anyone is interested, I’ve just found an entryon Amazon UK (link below) with a release date of 5th February 2018.

Ghost in the Water (1982) has been found after many years. Someone has posted in full to youtube. Heres the link:

Thanks for the link dazzyboy. Have just watched it and whilst the sound is a bit intermittent at times it really is great.

Had completely forgotten about it and according to the BBC Genome website it was first shown on New Years Eve 1982 on BBC1 and later in March 1983.

Re: Ghost In The Water (1982)

Ghost in the water is one of those programs that seriously needs a release on DVD.It's long overdue. Many lesser programs have seen release since they were first shown on video or DVD,so why not this program.Looking at other forums and sites, there is enough people wanting this drama,or at least to be able to watch it again.Often wondered if anybody taped it with the old video recorder,so there may well be copys out there in private hands.

I remember this as it was filmed in my school (Hillcrest School, Netherton) and quite a few of my friends were seen in the background. Happy days!

Can anyone remember this spooky drama. Shown at the end of 1982 with one repeat in mid-83.

The bit where the young girl looked over the bridge into the water and i think there was some kind of screaming noise used to frighten the life out of me. There is some reference to it on youtube:
