Anyone remember the brilliant Cracker on ITV (well, on all the pre - bought out franchises around 9/10pm on a weeknight...) Jimmy McGovern wrote it originally. The stories were very very good. Robert Carlyle broke through in his role as the disturbed Hillsborough survivor in one story...I remember they did a one-off special in 2006 that proved it still had milage in it. They repeat it on ITV3 now but sometimes I wish they'd bring it back brand new...

Funnily, when I used to watch it religeously from 1993 - 95 when it first was on, I don't remember all the stories - I do remember some of the main parts, like Penhaligon and the Jimmy Beck storyline, Billborough's murder by Albie Kinsella (Robert Carlysle)...I also remember a really dark story featuring a half - caste cabbie called Floyd...eurgh!

    Great show...

Yeah, one of my favourites. I like the way Fitz can act like an a*sehole but know that he can get away with it because they need him. I tried watching the American version too,. but they messed it up. It just wasn't as good.
