Me & my brother used to call the enemy's main ship the "Dyne Ship" because of the sound effect of the engines.

Me & my brother really liked Starfleet, Granada showed it on Sunday mornings in the early 1980s.

The style was sort of Gerry Anderson goes Manga.

I can still remember some of the characters even now, Shiro, John Lees, Barry Hercules (David James lookalike), Lamia, Dr Benn, & the Yeti like bodyguard who's name escapes me.

Nah, Brian May only did a version of the theme (he used to watch it with his son and loved it). It wasn't used on the show.

Can anyone help please?

I'm trying to remember the name of a kids show from the early 80's. It was a puppet show - very similar to Terrahawks - but it wasn't Terrahawks. (could possibly be Gerry Anderson - like the Terrahawks or Captain Scarlett etc...)

It was shown on Saturday morning TV and was serialised in 20 minutes programmes (approx) over a number of weeks.

It was set in space and there was a space-captain-type-character and a princess (amongst other characters). She (the princess) has something to do with all the planets in the solar system lining up for the first time in hundreds of years. If memory serves I think it was set in the year 3000. Something magical was due to happen when all the planets lined up.

Can anyone help - been bugging me for years this cos I remember watching it avidly for weeks and then missing the last episode when the planets lined up - was gutted as a kid to miss this - never found out what happened!!!
