I remember it seemed great to be able to look things up without having to go to a library, at the time I usually looking up old pop culture which often didn't have many books written about it.

It was a very 80s scene, especially in the second half of the decade, but the early recession killed it off as many people lost their fortunes as quickly as them made them.

Filofaxes were another piece of essential Yuppie equipment....

I remember Judas Priest were taken to court in the USA over supposedly including backwards messages in their songs that made some of their fans try to kill themselves!...

I had two family holidays in France where were drove there & back, using a ferry because the Channel Tunnel wasn't yet open....
