Obscure one for Lovejoy fans....

    Obscure one for Lovejoy fans....

    OK this is a bit of a longshot, but one of my inlaws was standing in the background when they filmed a scene in Lovejoy which featured Ian McShane in a chase (on foot) through a county fete or fair in Suffolk - I believe it was Stoke-by-Clare during the early 90s.

    Unfortunately I can't remember anything else about the episode, but I'm trying to track it down and print a screen from it as a surprise.

    Does anyone have any idea which episode it might be? - I believe there were around 70 or so made, so I don't really fancy buying them all and watching them all through....

    Well it just so happens that I've been working my way through all the Lovejoy episodes recently on YouTube! I've watched the first 52 episodes and there's not been any chase scenes that match your description.

      Thanks for that - I had a feeling it might be one of the later ones. I'll have a looksee.

      I had a look at the ep guide you mentioned, but there wasn't enough detail, so I'll try youtube.

        I'm gradually working my way through all the episodes so if I find it, I'll let you know. Should have finished them all within the next few weeks.

          I managed to find it - should have paid more attention to the episode titles in the first place really - it was called 'Swings and Roundabouts' (episode 57), which should have given me a clue as I remembered a fair!

          Many thanks for your help remember - being assured that the first 52 episodes were not what I needed I was able to skim through the rest of the episodes on youtube until I found it.
