when i was very young and lived in west bromwitch there was a mini tv series im pretty sure it was mosses it was set in israel and the story was about 2 young prince's 1 of them was banished by the king because of his beliefs and years later they meet in the kings place he wanted the king to release his pepole the king refused so he layed down his stick and it turened into a snake as a warning to the king that his god was stronger anyway later towards the end of the series he parted the sea and led his pepole to the promies land thats all i can remeber i'm not a religious nut but i woild like to see this tv series again if posible

Yes that is definitely the story of Moses!
SO many possibilities, was it the one with Burt Lancaster in the lead role from 1974?

no i dont think that was it as thats only 141 minutes runtime i pretty sure it run for sevral weeks

The original that ran for 350 odd minutes and was a miniseries and was reduced for theatrical release...in fact the one I remember with Burt Lancaster ran for about 3 weeks with 3 x 1.5hr episodes!!
