I'm sure it was on after school, late 70s, a Victorian setting?. a young boy has to work on a farm/estate and gets terrible blisters on his hands. the miserable old lady who lives there scrubs off the blisters with a brush! This scene horrified me as a child.
I think she was played by the marvellous 'Hilary Mason' who made a career of being horrid(she was the baddie- Mrs Biddle in 'Phoenix and the Carpet' (1977), but I may be wrong, as for years I thought she was also the witch in Lizzy Dripping! I've checked her IMDb and nothing rings a bell. Anyone?
