Naughty old farmer!

Does anyone remember a tv play about a very naive girl being sent to a farmer as a housekeeper and ends up pregnant to him?It was set in the past (not sure when) and the girl thinks that she has `dropsy` I think the farmer was played by the welsh actor Ray Smith and was aired about 1976. Thanks in advance!
