Family of kids acting as adults?

I remember a program starring a family of kids, but they dressed and acted like adults. It was a sketch part on another program, and was like a mini soap opera which was featured everyday (I think it only lasted about 2-5 mins an 'episode'). For some reason, I think it was on a program like Wacaday or something similar, and as I mentioned it featured kids acting like a family of adults in their own home. There was a mum and dad (I think the mum had long blonde hair and glasses) and a few kids, and maybe pets too. I seem to remember the mum hoovering and was a bit down-trodden, but can't be sure. This would have been mid 80s I think... Does anyone know what I'm on about!?
