I remember this quite well and would also really like to see it again. It was a three part serial made for schools programmes, but was so good it got an airing the following year (1973) in the tea time children drama slot on BBC1 which is when I saw it. I would have been 11. The last part has our two chums knocking a wall down and funding an abandoned old locomotive in a sort of tunnel. Every school boys dream of course!!! The bfi have a VHS of episode 1 only, which is promising that the master tape or tapes may have survived in the BBC archive abd escaped the junking. Maybe we should write in and ask them? Best wishes…
