The Computer Programme was a TV series, produced by Paul Kriwaczek, originally broadcast by bbc2 in 1982.
The idea behind the series was to introduce people to computers and show them what they were capable of. The BBC wanted to use their own computer, so the bbc micro was developed as part of the BBC Computer Literacy Project, and was featured in this series.

The series was successful enough for two series to follow it, namely Making the most of the micro in 1983 and micro live from 1984 until 1987.

it ran from the 11th January 1982 to 15th March 1982

there where just 10 episodes 25 mins long.

i think i can recall seeing this but not to sure watched so many in my time ill look it up then mybe it will set bells ringing

This program was included as part of our computer studies class at school. Presented by Chris Serle and Ian McNaught-Davis.

Watched the whole series at the time, and bought a BBC Model B as a follow-up to the Acorn Atom kit I'd built a short time before. (Acorn also developed the BBC Micro, so there were many similarities, the BBC Micro being much more powerful though.)

i remember chris well.
id only have been 7 at the time of the show.
