She said that it was as full as year as she can remember.

THAT WAS QUITE COMMON BACK THEN.

OR THE TV COMPANIES JUST THINK IT WOULD NOT APPEAL TO KIDS ETC NOW.

            Wow

            Great work there !!

                          Re: Christmas TV

Thanks, Darren, I actually remember this Christmas and its TV schedule.

I see Moira is doing her Christmas duty again.

On Christmas Eve I recall watching Close Encounters in the afternoon, then getting ready to go out. I got back just in time to catch The Innocents before going to bed.

On Christmas Day, look at the schedule clash between Only Fools and Horses and Minder. That surely seriously brassed off plenty of people without video recorders that year.

Moonraker was this year's Bond film. Was this still the time when cinema releases had to be 5 years old before being shown on TV? If so, maybe this was Moonraker's first showing on TV.

Again, there's plenty I would want to watch, and mercifully this is still long before the days of celebrities thinking they can dance and being cheered on by an audience who seem to be hyper on too many sugary drinks and snacks.
