    pantomime dame - so confess Terry Scott and John Inman
    Widow Twankey , Mother Goose , the Ugly Sisters, Dame Trot,
    continue a tradition which goes back in particular to the Victorian
    music-hall. In this documentary, filmed at pantomimes throughout
    the country, you can see Terry Scott and John Inman stripped down
    to their bloomers; Windsor Davies remove his moustache;
    Melvyn Hayes and George Lacy (one of the oldest dames in the
    business) pad their overblown bosoms; Ugly Sisters Simon Barry
    and Alan Vicars apply balloons for bottoms; Nat Jackley show his
    frilly knickers and The Rev Reg Ames from Pinner proving skirts
    are fun. Giving their verbal support are the late Arthur Askey ,
    Cyril Fletcher and pantomime writer John Morley.

    Charles Hawtrey, Peter Butterworth, Joan Sims
    A hilarious carry-on is guaranteed when Sir Rodney Ffing and
    Lord Darcy decide to lend a hand to the noble heads of France
    during the revolution of 1789. Known only by the sign of the
    Black Fingernail, the pair effect a number of spectacular rescues-
    but the malevolent Citizen Camembert, head of the secret police,
    and his assistant Bidet, are soon on their trail. The elusive
    Black Fingernail, master of disguise, strikes again and again in this
    rollicking farce from the Carry On team
