Programme from the late '80s, earliy '90s

OK I remember when I first left home watching a programme on Sky one it was about this bloke that lived on a range and took in children/teenagers that were in trouble. He would give them time and they would have to help on the range before they could go home.

Dose anyone know what it was called?

Could it be "Neon Rider"? I came across several shows with a similar premise, but this one is from about the right time.

Neon Rider was a Canadian series starring Wintson Rekert as (psychologist) Dr. Michael Terry. Dr. Terry worked with at-risk youth at his ranch outside Vancouver.
