Help with a kids t.v programme

its going to be a bit vague but bare with me.

i think it was late 70's early 80's and it had something to do with the battle of Hastings and a silver braclet that was like a serpent/dragon.

the name "last dragon" had something to do with it.
the programme was english and aimed at children.

any help would be muchas gracias

I remember this, I think it was part of the educational programmes shown by BBC during the late 70's early 80's, this one was to help with your english, not sure if WizBit (the floatin foam head with hands and letters all over) made an appearence every now again.

The floating head was called Wordy. Wizbit was in Wizbit with Debbie McGee (excuse me just a minute) and some bald bloke.
