    Hi! who remembers Catweazle and his toad / frog 'Touchwood', what a briliant programme that was, loved it!!

    I used to watch it..odd program, called the phone a "telling Bone"
    I was probably too young to really enjoy it,and I've never seen it since..might try and get a DVD or two

      That used to be my favourite programme as a child. Didn't he live in a disused water tower and call electricity, electrickery? I have a Catweazle book somewhere, shall have to dig it out.

            Loved it as a kid, Geoffery Bayldon, he was the Crow man from Worzel Gummage too........and turned down the chance to be Doctor Who....

                    Worzel Gummidge was one of those shows I hated as a kid,along with Just William with Bonnie Langford
                    and Follyfoot and Black Beauty and Dick Turpin...

                      I used to love catweazle.... wasn't there a wrestler called catweazle? He came into the ring in dishevelled rags....

                        More than likely, everyone a bit scruffy back then was either called Steptoe or Catweazle .
                        My Dad had a workmate we all called Catweazle due to his scruffy beard

                          Folly foot and Black Beauty, they were two of my favourites. Follyfoot had Desmond Llewellynn in who was Q in James bond, he was the colonel. Wonder if they'll ever bring them back on DVD....................
