Re: What were your favourite TV shows as a kid?
My 2 favourite Hanna-Barbera shows are Drak Pack & Dinky Dog (voiced by Frank Welker), which I think were both animated in Australia by Southern Star. DVD sets of both have come out in Canada, but not in US or UK. Some of the HB rights are complicated due to licensing or international borders. Another of my favourites is Undercover Elephant (voiced by Daws Butler) from the C.B. Bears show, which also contained Heyy It's The King & Shake, Rattle & Roll.

I watched religiously Postman Pat, Pigeon Street, T-Bag, Portland Bill, Cockleshell Bay, Button Moon, He-Man, She-Ra, CAB, Grange Hill, Rod Hull and Emu, Dogtanian, Supergran, Inspector Gadget, Chish and Fips, Fireman Sam, - I could go on forever.Last edited by SirBillCotton; 01-05-2006, 02:37.

I'm going back a bit but my favourite shows as a kid were Marine Boy, Thunderbirds and most of the Gerry Anderson stuff from then on (first time around) and a bit later on (mid 70s) The Tomorrow People, Children of the Stones and Chocky. My favourite movie of all time is the big screen version of Please Sir!

I can't get over the disco years. Bert and ernie were my favs. Just cuz ernie drove bert crazy. lol. That is cool that you got it on DVD. Does it have any extra features.Originally posted by PopsicleAlthough I was an adult when I saw it, one of my favourite children's shows is the Australian drama/fantasy "Round the Twist". I was off sick from work one day, and caught an episode of season 2 and became hooked - it was clever, imaginative and sometimes even a little risque!
I had to set my VCR when I went back to work, so as not to miss the rest of the series.
I did later see seasons one and three, but the second series remains my favourite. Each season had different actors in the main roles, mainly because the children grew up and became too old for their character.
I have just managed to purchase season 2w on DVD, so will soon be singing the catchy theme tune whilst watching the antics of the Twist family and their haunted lighthouse.
I will grow up one day, honestly.....
