I remember a BBC adaptation of Heidi that used to show on Sunday teatimes - starred a young Nicholas Lyndhurst as Peter the Goatherd. Couldn't be the same one could it?

              Re: Anyone remember these

Week days lunchtimes would be Hickery House, Rainbox, Mr Benn, Pitkins, Painting with Nancy and my favourite, The Galloping Gormet. All that lovely exotic nosh being made before me just as I sat down to bangers, mash and tinned toms.

Late afternoon would be Mr Merlin, Blue Peter, Magpie, Newsround, Little House on the Prairie, Tomorrow People, or Grange Hill, and so many others that I just can't remember. Late evening just before Nationwide started I'd be allowed to watch either Pugwash, Ivor the Engine, or some other short animated show that was running, and then it was hand over to the adults. Occassionaly I'd be allowed to watch grownup TV like Armchair Thriller - scared me just watching the opening credits - Minder, CATS Eyes, but that tended to be during the summer hols.

Saturday mornings were great but only until lunchtime when World of Sport / Grandstand started. Then there was nothing until teatime; Metal Mickey, MasterSpy, Mind your Language were a few favouries.

Don't really remember much being on Sunday mornings. I do remember Jack Hargreaves and 'Out of Town'. Such a lovely slow programme. Found some links on YouTube last month. Whatever we did watch would have to be interrupted as my dad always insisted on watching the weather at lunchtime. It was only on for a few minutes but that really used to tick us off.

Then on Sunday evenings after a bath we'd have tea in front of the TV watching something family-suitable like All Creatures Great and Small.
