I remember watching a tv show on channel 4 (i think) on sat/sunday mornings. It was a show about 2 boys living in a strange town, one had curly red hair n the other had longish brown bair and always wore a greeny raincoat,and ran around on old bikes. They would visit this weird shop cant remember if it was an ice cream or magic shop and get odd items from it about the town.The older boy with brown hair wrote in a diary and narrated the show. It was always about the town or people in the town and focused on someone new every wk with the 2 boys invertigating. It was on in the 90's and i think it was made in canada/america. This is really driving me mad and i have looked everywhere to get the name of it also driving my sister nuts!

yup, that was my first thought when I read it too.

It's been available on DVD for a while now.
