  • Saturday morning public information films

So this is from my most distant memories of Saturday morning kids TV in the early 70's...

Just before Grandstand used to start, I recall a colour public public information film that was filmed in an English castle. It was accompanied by the sounds of battle - cannon fire and men cheering and shouting. It was clearly a gap filler, but I can't find any reference to it.

Can anyone else shed any light on what it was?

It might have been included on the Charley Live video if was a PIF - it rings a bell. I would hazard a guess that it was for Keep Britain Tidy, although if it was more than five minutes long it could be something other than a PIF.

Most of the Saturday morning PIFs were shown in the different ITV regions - there is another thread about them on here.
