  • Channel Four Schools Programme?

I have this theme tune in my head which is really doing my head in, but i am sure it is too a programme that was on in the 80's which a grey haired man presented about pre historic times like dinosours etc, or it may have been before a schools tv programme started and he talked for a few minutes about it, and in the background behind him was a symbol circle thing in the colours black, orange red??? maybe i am going mad, but i can clearly remember it, does anyone else?

Think you COULD be right with Picture Box. The presenter used to play Ken Barlow's younger brother David (Alan Rothwell) in Corrie years ago too - but in Picture Box days he had deffo got grey hair !

The problem with Picture Box being the answer is that there was never (to my recollection) any kind of floating black/red/orange thingy in any episode i can ever recall.

Infact the most memorable thing about it was the spinning dimondesque "Picturebox" on the opening credits to which the OP didnt mention ....

Piccy of the Picturebox presenter Alan Rothwelll for you :-

But what do i know :-)

No, but if the memory is not quite clear - it COULD be the box as it goes out of focus in the intro - colours are then right !
