When I was a very young child, My mother took me to visit my grandmother every Saturday. Various family members would be there and I was left pretty much alone to read and play and watch TV.
One of my favourite programmes was Gilligan's Island - so I'm thinking of 1965/6
One weekend there was an episode of a series where one of the female members of the regular cast walked around 'without her head'. I'm not sure what the storyline was but she was returned to her normal condition pretty quickly. I remember this upset me as a child, although the special effects were 'pantomime level' crude. It was the fact that this regular cast member had endured this fate that upset me.
I have no other clues as to what this could have been. I checked to see if it was na episode of Gilligan's Island, but that wasn't it. I've trawled pretty much everything from that period but no luck.
Does it ring any bells with anyone in here?
