i remember this being on a sunday afternoon around 12 ish , seem to remember the theme tune more than anything else........anyone else recall much about it ???
I can certainly remember it and used to avoid it at all costs. Most of us lads were the same.It did seem to appeal to the girls more. Then again it was just too american for me.There seemed to be a growing feeling of wanting something new and exciting in the 70's concerning animation that was rarely offered to us.
I used to really hate it but after watching it a couple of times or possibly as I got older used to enjoy it. I think once you understood that it was a satirical look at the 'average' American family it made more sense?
I remember this via the repeats of it on the BBC - hated it but watched it as there was nowt else on - I vividly remember the Nixon style character...it was like it was saying he really was Nixon under a new identity post Watergate and impeachment...
