british sci fi comedy series??

hi, ive been racking my brain for months now trying to remember a comedy series i watched on tv in the 90s i think. from what i remember it was a british comedy where the population is suddenly wiped out, except for a group of people in a pub, and i think a phonebox? one bit from the intro i definately
remember is a lady pushing a pram down a hill, she suddenly disappears and the pram rolls away, with canned laughter in the background.

any ideas?
