Quartermass... is that how its spelt?
I remember my parents being into this bigtime, i used to really want to watch it but mum thought it would be too scary for us...
If my memory serves me right i did sneak a peek one night sitting on the stairs and saw a man running for his life through the underground with newspapers blowing about all over the place , he looked so panic stricken it did indeed scare the hell out of me and i shot back to bed and hid under the blankets!
Moral to the tale.... Mums are usually right!

I loved the 50's film 'Quatermass and the Pit', where they find what they think is an unexploded WW2 bomb in the Underground. Very spooky & atmospheric.

And the 70's ITV 4-part series with John Mills.....now available on DVD ( got it from Amazon)
