Anyone remember 'The Children's Channel' and some of the older 70/80 stlyle cartoons that it used to have?

'Stories without words', was one of the best.

Dosen't seem to be any record of some of these cartoons!

I remember TCC but can't quite remember the show.
In one thread I mentioned the channel and early sky tv.
I miss TCC, pity I never taped any of it.

Yeah I remember watching it early mornings before school. It would have been around 1986 or 1987. I would like to see it again, but I can't find any videos anywhere.

Information on some of the TCC programs is next to impossible to find:

        Stories without words
        The little orange mailbox
        Rootie the pixie

All short cartoons from the early 1990s that nobody remembers :-(

I made an account just to post this.

Dunno whether any of the users here still use the site but I do have a home recording of the childrens channel with Stories without Words on the cassette. Sorry about the quality but it's a straight rip with no editing done.
I don't have an exact date on the broadcast but I'd guess it would have been between 1992-1995.

In the early 1990s I saw the title mentioned on the satellite listings in the TV listings guides and wondered what it was as we didn't have satellite TV back then - I thought it was something for deaf children or something.

              What exactly was it?

There's nothing you can do to make me change my mind
              I'm having so much fun

I can only go by the video I've got of the segment. I think it was just a way for the channel to broadcast short cartoons that were made in Europe. I'd guess that these cartoons were made with an international audience in mind as there was no talking in any of the cartoons.
