late 70's early 80's Mini Series

I can remember back in the late 70's early 80's ITV used to have a lot of Best sellers/ Mini series...... I can remember 79 Park Avenue (I have read the book so many times) Valley of the Dolls (also read so many times) & the one I cannot remember....I think it may have been something like Starmaker!!! My vague memories are of it being about an up and coming actress & I can remember something about Pandoras Box (maybe it was a film the actress was in) My biggest memory is of the ending...... The young actress has an older lover & he dies of a heart attack during or after a steamy session with the actress....

Any ideas what this mini series was called...It has bugged me for years

Thanks so much that's the one "The Star Maker" ...... It's amazing the times I have googled it and came up with nothing
