Does anyone remember a kids show which was on late 80's early 90's possibly on BBC. The sketchy memories I have is that the kids were being hypnotised by the bad guys, by the computers that were in the school. One of the computers exploded or something and some one said to one of the kids who witnessed this that he could see it in his eyes Any ideas?

Might have been "Dark Season" (1991), written by Russel T. Davies. Three kids (including a young Kate Winslet) try to stop the mysterious Mr. Eldritch from taking over the school through the computers he's donated to every pupil.

There was also a second story, with archaeologists working in the school grounds really attempting to find a long-buried super computer, "Behemoth".

Could also have been The Demon Headmaster (or its sequel). That features computers that hypnotise the pupils with octopus graphics.
