1970`s Childrens TV

Can anyone help me with the title of a creepy 1970`s kids programme? All I remember about it was it involved a young girl and boy who became friends. The girl was in bed recovering from an illness and she started to draw things but whatever she drew came to life. Not much to go on, sorry, but it really used to give me the creeps and I`d love to know what it was called.

I have the same slightly creeped-out memories of this series.

(There are a couple of poor quality black and white extracts on YouTube which are worth a look.)

Thankyou so much for letting me know the title of the programme I was after-"Escape Into Night", I would never have remembered that! I obviously didn`t remember as much about it as I thought I did after reading the write up of the programme, but I was only 8 at the time. I`d love to see it again. Bebby
